CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

BLACK RIVER VALLEY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB


ARTICLE I: Name: the name of this organization shall be THE BLACK RIVER VALLEY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB.

ARTICLE II: Purpose: to afford the amateur radio operators and those interested in radio as a hobby an opportunity to meet socially once a month.

ARTICLE III: Membership: membership is open to anyone who has an interest in amateur radio. A charter member to be anyone who joins the organization before January 1, 1953.

ARTICLE IV: Officers: the officers of the club shall be the President, Vice President, and Secretary-Treasurer.

ARTICLE V: Meetings: meetings to be held as designated by the President.

ARTICLE VI: Constitution and By-Laws: this constitution and by-laws may be amended at any regular or special meeting by a 2/3 vote of the members present.


BY-LAWS

ARTICLE I: Effective January 1, 1999, the club dues will increase to $10.00. Of the $10.00, $8.00 will go to the Repeater Fund and $2.00 will go to the Club Treasury. Senior citizens (65 years of age and older) will pay only $2.00 for dues, which will go to the Club Treasury. (Amended September 8, 1998)

ARTICLE II: Duties of the Officers: The President shall preside at all meetings; and shall appoint all special and standing committees. The Vice President shall preside if the President is absent. The Secretary shall give notice of all meetings, keep the records of minutes, conduct all correspondence and keep general records of the club. The Treasurer shall collect dues, keep financial records, and render a club financial report at each meeting. The positions of Secretary and Treasurer may be held by the same individual if so voted by the membership.

ARTICLE III: Roberts Rules of Order shall govern all business meetings.
